Having an extremely OFF day :-(

I’m not one to believe the weather has an effect on the psychy but that has GOT to be what happened today. This gloomy a** weather! Everything going on or not going on in my life finally came to a head today. So I came home..wiped a few tears..and gave my boy a hug. Taking the day off from training since I’m not ALL in it with my head. :-/ I’ll take my frustrations out on my house. :-)

40 MINS OF JOGGING

I’m so used to keeping a 9:00 pace since I started running, that trying to run a 10:00 pace was harder. I had to keep focused on taming my speed. Tomorrow 30 mins of cross training on the bike ;-)

What the heck is ‘JOGGING’?

I’m so used to doing all my ‘running’ at 9:00 pace, I don’t know what pace ‘jogging’ is?

 Any suggestions?

JUST FINISHED - “4 MONTHS TO A 4 HOUR MARATHON”

Great book! Written by the son of a 50 something math professor who’d never ran a marathon before. And he completed it in 3 hours 58 mins! Wow! After my last couple training days I know I can keep the schedule he has mapped out in the book. As long as I follow it & don’t push myself. Vegas is Mission Possible! :-)

FREE WORKOUT @ MY MOTHER-IN-LAW’S :-)

After watching the Red Bull Air Race (TOTALLY awesome!) and getting sunburned..I decided to take some Popeyes chicken to my in-laws for dinner. No sooner did I walk thru the door..than I was put to work moving furniture for the 10,000th time. :-) Some of this stuff is not lite. I don’t mind. I actually like moving stuff..as long as it’s not my own. Which by the way I’ll probably be doing in July.

4 OR MORE TOMORROW

Bought my boy a new bike. So he can ride while I run. Not sure how that’s gonna work, but we’re gonna try tomorrow. Probably have him ride in front of me..that way I can keep my eye on him.

DIDN’T PLAN ON RUNNING :-)

Was given a pep talk tonight & ran out of excuses on why I shouldn’t. So I loaded myself up with 6 Block Shots from Cliff and drank 1/2 a bottle water. Took a little one with me and headed out. Wow taking water with you is a big difference. :-)

It got DARK while I was running but the thought of crackheads from the casino coming after me was incentive to keep running. LOL

This was the first time I ran from my front door ‘out and back’. I didn’t realize the BACK was all uphill! Crap! I hit each hill head on though. I was proud of myself for keeping the same pace on the hills. The biggest hill was leading to my house. Go figure the end of the run. I turned the corner and saw that hill (well sort of..it was real dark and no light on my street) and told myself I wasn’t going to quit my pace. Anyone know stretches for that lil muscle right above your achilles tendon? Mine keeps getting stiff on my runs
